Week Weigh In 24

hello all,

i hope you are all well!   This week i have lost 2lbs - so after panicking that my weight loss had stopped, things are back on track thank god!  Im now 4lbs away from loosing 5stones - i just cant wait!

I do find myself a little frustrated that the weight isnt coming off fast, but i remind myself that at least it is coming off, and for the first time in my life, im not regularly putting weight on.

Until next week!

Weigh in Week 21, 22 and 23!

hello fellow loosers!

havent had much to blog about as in week 21 and 22, i lost 0lbs!!  Admittedly, these 2 weeks were not good ones, food wise!  The last 2 weeks in a school means the onslaught of treats in the staffroom argh!!  The sleeve has definately put an end to my gorgoing at meal times, however, treats can still easily go down (unfortunately!), and those 2 weeks were not good.

The sleeve and post weightloss has been easy so far, so i guess this is where i need to put effort in.  My sleeve didnt let me down, and i wont let it down either!  Last week i avoided treats etc and was met with a 2lb loss!  The good thing is that i didnt put any weight on (thank god!).

My excercise regime of zumba has also stopped due to dating!  Who would have thought guys out there would be interested in little old me (ok still some way until im considered little!).  I mean im still a heffer but i guess im more of a socially acceptable hefferness now haha!  Ive met a couple of really nice guys (a couple of 'interesting' characters) and so im looking forward to getting to know them better and see how this story ends!
If youre at the start of your journey, there is hope!  At 5 months, im finding im having to put effort in, which is fine by me!  Cant wait to see where the next 5 months takes me!

Online Dating

Having lost a lot of weight, my confidence has increased and i have now taken the plunge and thrown myself out into the murky world of online dating.

I joined a few (on the free basis of course!) to see what i liked the look of.  I ended up subscribing to match affinity - i felt that the way they introduced you to compatible matches was nice, and i also liked the fact i could also search (with eharmony you only receive your matches and cant search!).  Stupdily, i subscribed for 3 months - i felt 3 months is enough time to meet mr right.

After paying my hard earned money, i soon realised that match affinity wasnt really for me.  Alot of the profiles are old (eg havent been active for over a month) and the majority of 'my matches' just wernt for me.  So i am slightly pissed off for wasting my money - i did ring them and asked if i could change my subscription to a month instead of three, and was told no (of course).  So now im stuck in a cyberspace dating cesspool - i think theres only been one profile where i thought hmm, not bad, but conversation was crap and it is no more.  My opninion on match affinity?  Crapola!!

Anyway, i joined tickdating a few days ago, after a few recommendations.  And even though they dont promise to find your 'match' it a far less formal atmosphere, with features such as live chat which is nice.  But do i spend another £20 in the search for love?  Or do i stick with the cesspool of weirdos or those totally about my league?  Argh

I've had about 15 interested people on match and 65 on tick dating!

So matchaffinity has people serious about relationships, but arent what im looking for (they are all mountain climbing, deep philosphers who drink red wine and want to share London city life with miss perfect).  However, im looking for a normal bloke!!!  Where tickdating lacks in maybe the kind of men on there, it makes up for in the number of men available!  If i meet more frogs, surely im likely to find my prince no?

Weigh In Week 20

I lost 2lbs last week, even though i had my chocolate mishap!

Last night i went to a wedding - it was the first time i had a proper drink post surgery!  (im 5 months out)  I drank vodka and diet coke, with lots of ice (the ice waters down the drink and removes most of the fizz).  I was advised not to drink fizzy drinks, but it actually was ok yesterday, thanks to the ice.

I must say i got tiddly very quickly!  But it was a lovely wedding and for the first time i wasnt embrassed to hit the dance floor and get my funk on!  Loosing this weight so far is extremly liberating - i feel like the shackles are finally being removed! x
